7 week out!

OMG!  Time is speeding buy and I have so much to get done.  I ordered my suits from CJ on Friday.  ACK!  They cost as much as my first car.  My first car was a clunker, but still!  At least I spent my money on a quality suit that fits my body.  It was gonna be too hard to find one to fit me used.  Here is what I "think" my 2 pc will sorta look like:

I think I have all my make-up, jewelry, and other little what-nots.  I need to order my Jan Tana kit.  Than *gasp* I think I'll be set!

So I took some pics yesterday.  Its very hard to get into a flattering pose in 10 sec.  But here is one of the pics.

BF% needs to keep on dropping, but I'll get there.  Day by day.  I see Julie for stats on Aug. 6.  And I'm trying to stay away from the scale in the mean time.  It just puts we in an "I'm never gonna get there" mood.

Posing still needs lots of practice.  I do better in front of a mirror than the camera.

Bootcamp

This past weekend was Julie's Bootcamp.  And can I say how cool it was!

**Updated to add pics

Day1: WOs were hard core, and you had to push.  I learned more about my body and how far you can really make yourself go, when the body says "nope".  Julie was great and kept my motivated and pushing.  I burned over 4500 calories in about 4 hrs.  HOLY COW!

I had my very first posing class.  And boy was my lats sore!  Who would have know there is so much to coordinate at once.  But I really need to nail it!  I think it can make or break you in the judges eyes.  They can only see what you give them for that little time your on stage.

The evening we all had dinner at the Longhorn.  The steak was yummy!  And I think I devoured it like 2 nano-seconds.

Day 2: Started with some Q&A then to a circuit training, got a good sweat worked up.  Then we learned about photo shoot make-up application.  So cool!  While I thought I was petty good a make-up, Rachel really awesome!  She had some great info on colors and technique.  So I will be adding to my make-up case very soon.  Then on to the actual photo shoot.  I'm my no means photogenic.  I don't cheese and rarely smile showing teeth.  Long story, from my childhood.  Thanks mom!  =0}  But I had fun!  *GASP*  I know!  Rick was so fun!  And the shots fit my personality very well.  So when I'm in comp shape, I will definitely be back for more photos!

So I met some great ladies, and while we may not all be headed down the same path (towards a stage), I think we all learned more.  And it was great to just be around "fitness" oriented people.

And how cool was it to spend a whole weekend with Julie!  Talk about motivating!  Seeing what you can get with hard work and dedication will keep you going.  Plus after all she gives you, you don't want to let her down.

Can't wait for the next bootcamp!    Which happens to be the Contest Prep Seminar: Sept 13-14.  So if I'm not on stage in Indy that weekend, I'll so be there!

Disclaimer: Oh...and if you happen to decide to do a bootcamp on a low carb weekend, you will most likely cry at some point in the day.  Not saying I did or anything.  Just sayin'!  Okay, I confess I did cry.  BUT I think everyone was too busy catching their breath to notice!

8 weeks out!

Well... I'm 8 weeks out from the OCB Natural Indiana!  Kinda scary!  I had stats done this morning.
  • - 4 lbs fat
  • 20% BF
  • - 2% BF
  • fat is mostly coming off my waist
So I know the BF is still high.  And I may not make this show.  But I'm gonna push like I am and see how it plays out.  I'm leaning more towards the Monster Mash as my first show.  But my BIG goal show is the KY Muscle!

So Team Fitbody starts up at the end of Aug.  I'm pretty excited about that.  It will be cool to hang with some gals suffering too... ha ha!

Goals for Aug 4th Check-in:
  • 168 lbs
  • 18% BF

Here I am!

I started a new hospital this past Monday.  I work agency as a Cath Lab RN.  This place is better than the last.  I get to keep my water with me, drink shakes when I need to.  And get my lunch!  Woo hoo.  Only bad part is I'm doing 4 10hr shifts a week.

So I have to get up earlier.  And that means kicking my bootie out of bed for EMC.  Which I haven't been successful at so far this week.  Which means tomm is kick ass cardio day!  YEAH!  NOT!

But tomm is payday and I get to do some fun shopping.  I have my bootcamp on Sat & Sun.  And my super excited for it!  I need to find a tank to wear for my pics.  hmm...  I need to make a run for the Mac counter too.  I use to wear Mac for a long time, than tried Bare Minerals and was using up that stash.  It look nice when it on, but just takes so long to put on in the morning.  So I may use both depending on the day.

10 weeks out

Stats this am:
  • -2 lbs scale wt
  • BF same
  • pinches down in most areas
Kinda bummed.  I'm glad to see my weight that much closer to the 160's.  So new diet and WO plan.  I'm hoping to see some better progress with this diet.  Welcome me to the world of carb cycling.  So when the biatchie posts start to pop-up, you wont be startled.  I'm gonna push hard, up until comp and see what happens.  NO CHEATS!  Journal, journal, journal.  And cardio queen I will be.

Speaking of cardio, I had an awesome session tonight (missed the am session due to the check-in).  I walked the trail again.  Its almost 2 miles around the lake, with hills.  I did a combo of fast walk and jog at times (to pass groups of peps).  2x around = 830 calories!!!  in 53min.  Not to bad.  Since I'm on vacation this week, I may make the most of it and hit it in the mornings.  Kinda gives me a break from my tready.

Oh, and why is it, right when your pouring the sweat (yes I sweat!!  Not glisten or glow... SWEAT!)  a guy thinks "hey, i'm gonna try and strike up a conversation".  While he was not a bad looking fellow, it should have been CLEAR I'm a little busy.  OMG, is this a sign that I'm a spinster?!?!  I'd rather focus on my WO than a guy????  Nah!  He just wasn't my type.  I'm into muskels!  Sooo...  let me leave ya with my type of eye candy.

Happy 4th!!

What does a wanna-be figure gal do on a holiday?  NOTHING!  ha ha .  I'm not silly enough to go to watch the fireworks and be around all that FOOD!

My right ankle was hurting when I ran on the tready, so I bought some new gym shoes.  I always get Nike Shox, and these are awesome!  While I had my heart set on pink this time, you have to admit that these have eye appeal.

So I'm gonna celebrate by hitting my tready and doing my LNC (late night cardio).   I stumbled across some cheap WO gear at wallie world.  I'll post of a pic of me sporting my new gear later.  You can beat $5.00 shorts and tops.
